“Wake up! Sweetie” is a fun and comedic animated cartoon that focuses on the bond between familial members, more especially between the mother figure and the child. With a comedy approach, it shows the story of Emme’s daily route, where her ghost mom tries to wake her up to catch the school bus through possession. This project is especially important for me because my parents got divorced when I was young, therefore I was raised by my aunt. She had always been my mother figure and supported me through my darkest times, however she passed away from cancer 2 years ago. This film is not only dedicated to my memory of her, but also serves as a reminder for me that even though she is no longer with me, she is still watching over me in heaven.
